WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT?

$250 deposit is required by Monday 21st April 2025

Balance payment is required two months prior to the trip date – 30th August 2025

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?

All deposits and payments are non-refundable however your payments are protected when cancelling – you can always hold your payments as a credit or transfer to a future trip of your choice when making a cancellation.

Payments made after your deposit:

Cancellations within 30-60 days of your departure date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount paid after the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be applied as a credit towards a future trip.

Cancellations made within 30 days of the scheduled departure date or less are subject to a 100% charge of the total amount paid after the deposit.

ARE THERE ANY FEES?

Aside from a 3% transaction fee charged to each payment on our site, there is no need to worry about additional fees! With our monthly payment plan, you’ll pay no extra fees and zero interest.

DO I NEED A VISA TO VISIT EGYPT?

A visa is required to enter Egypt. However, please Check with your local Egypt embassy for specific requirements based on your nationality.

What is the currency in EGYPT, and can I use credit cards? Where can we change money?

The currency in Egypt is the Egyptian pound (EGP). Many places accept credit cards, particularly in major cities and tourist areas. However, cash is preferred in the local markets, and small shops.

What languages are spoken in EGYPT?

The official language is Arabic. Most educated Egyptians are fluent in English or French or both, in addition to Arabic. We will have an English speaking guide throughout during the scheduled activities.

IS EGYPT SAFE FOR TOURISTS?

Egypt is generally considered safe for tourists. However, as in all countries, it’s important to take standard precautions, such as being aware of your surroundings, avoiding remote areas at night, and securing valuables.

What is the dress code in EGYPT?

Moderation is key; the general rule is to avoid wearing figure-hugging, short, tight, or revealing clothing.

CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL IN EGYPT?

Yes, alcohol is available in licensed hotels, restaurants, and bars, as well as certain stores.

Yes, bargaining is part of the culture, especially in markets. It’s expected to negotiate the price, so don’t hesitate to haggle politely for goods like handicrafts, rugs, and souvenirs.

What type of power outlets are used in EGYPT?

Egypt uses the Type F plug.

Type F electrical plugs used in Egypt are manufactured to the CEE 7/4 and CEE 7/7 standards and are commonly referred to as a Schuko plug.

The line and neutral plug contacts for Egypt Type F plugs are two round pins with a 4.8 millimeter diameter.

Visitors from countries using other types of plugs should bring a travel adapter. Travel adaptors are readily available on Amazon

What is tipping etiquette in
EGYPT?

Tipping, known as “baksheesh,” is a common and expected practice in Egypt. Drivers, guides, and service staff generally anticipate tips as part of their earnings, and it is often seen as customary rather than optional. While not strictly mandatory, tipping is highly encouraged and appreciated, as it reflects gratitude for good service.

Is there Uber?

At the moment, Uber can only be found in the cities of Cairo and Alexandria.

Is it safe to drink tap water in

Bottled water is recommended for tourists.
